Our group of professional polo instructors is here to teach you from the basics of polo to a more advance tactics and strategies on the arena and the field. Whether you have questions on polo gear from mallets, helmets, boots to horse selection and casting for your purchase, our polo professional instructors are here to advise you.
Polo is a very ancient and complicated sport to learn, therefore, Scottsdale Polo Academy (SPA) has designed a polo program to help students understand it and get acquainted with polo in an easier way. Staring from basic horseback riding to more complex field or arena team strategies. SPA offers a student program that is dedicated to teaching the game of polo safely and effectively.
Scottsdale Polo Academy offers both private and group lessons. Through the use of professional polo instructors and seasoned school horses, students learn strategy, playing skills and the rules of the game. A combination of lessons, instructions, drills and practice games students have opportunities to learn in a fun and safe environment. Upon successful completion of the program, students “graduate” to a faster level of play.
Because each individual skill level is different SPA customize the lessons to make sure everyone makes most of each one. You don’t need to know how to ride horses to learn polo. Scottsdale Polo Academy can teach you the basics of riding or helps you to adjust from other disciplines to polo while you learn to play polo.
We focus on students interested on learning polo the proper way:
· Existing rider(s) from other disciplines either English or Western that want to jump into polo (hunters, jumpers, dressage, ropers, Reiners, etc.)
· New riders (People without any horseback riding experience)
· Polo players that have some polo experience, but they need to build the confidence or want to learn and improve from season polo professionals the proper way.
